FAQ. - External Hard Drive  
 
Q7. If your hard drive is not recognized by the PC when connected, please check the following
ANS.
1. Confirm the USB connectors of the Y cable are plugged in to your computer directly, it will supply the Portable Hard Drive with adequate power for normal operation.
2. Check and make sure the USB connectors are connected properly
3. Make sure the external hard drive is not plugged into a non-powered USB hub or USB extension cables as it may result in insufficient power supplied to the hard drive.
4. Make sure the Y cable connector (mark # B ) is connected to the computer
